Flower Girl

Here is another sneak preview from my stamp line. This is a moo card I made using some of my stamps. I am so close to releasing it. They are clear stamps and the company I am working with has been terrific. This is one of the first sets of stamps they have done with such details. I wanted the ease of a clear stamp with the detail of red rubber. I have been a tough customer but they have made every change I requested. There are just two more images I need to refine and the sheets will be done.

My Dad

The theme at Mixed Media Monday this week is Generations. This is a collage I made of my dad. He is the patriarch of our family. He has 8 grandchildren. Hard to believe that from this small child will come many generations of our family.

TMTA - Eyes

The theme at TMTA this week is open your eyes. All these eyes are from Invoke stamps. After stamping them I thought how often we speak with our eyes.

We can have sad eyes, dreamy eyes, happy eyes and flirty eyes.

Another Stampsmith Card

Here is another card I made with my Stampsmith stamps. I colored the image with Copic markers. The card base is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

This is an image from Stampsmith I got a few months ago. I finally had some time yesterday to put a card together.

Using Metal in the Cuttlebug

Here is another Cuttlebug card. This one I used the Swiss Dot and the Textile folders. The black metal was easy to emboss. Then I sanded it lightly to bring out the silver finish. It created a great contrast. I then took one of my wheels from Ten Second Studios and rolled it across the top and bottom of the metal. The photo is one from my collection. I also made the dots on the black brads using a Uniball Signo pen. The lace and button are vintage. I used my Nestabilities to make the oval and scalloped oval behind her head.

Another Monogram

I had a few minutes to upload some of my projects from this weekend. This one is using my Justrite stamper. It uses the small font set and the Curlz font set.

Saturday Image Bonus 46

Here are five photos and postcards from my collection. They are a bit of a hodgepodge this week. I just picked out some of my favorites that I would like to use to create art. All of these are from the late 1800's, early 1900's. I love the boy in the hat. You can just tell he thinks he looks dashing.

Flowers Everywhere

This is a card I made for the Theme Thursday challenge Flowers. The flowers have Stickles on them but they are not showing up in the scan.

DCM - Golden Oldies

The theme at DCM this week is Golden Oldies. For this challenge I used one of my favorite old papers from Basic Grey. I loved this paper so much I taught a children's class using it. It was a simple album in a decorated tin box. The kids were great. The parents were another story.

Everchanging Art - Cute Dollar Stamps

So some of you may have noticed I am going through a cutesy period in my artwork. I am a conflicted artist. I love all the collage and antique image cards but occasionally I love cute cards. I have a young daughter and her eyes just light up when I do something with a cute image. Who can resist that? Here is another cute card I made with a set of Studio G $1 stamps at JoAnn's. Of course I couldn't resist the bargain.

JustRite Stamper Small Monogrammer

So I have been experimenting making stationary with my Just Rite Stamper for gifts this Holiday season. They are so simple to use. I find the best way to work with them is to stamp the monogram on a piece of paper and then cut it out. This way you can make sure not to ruin your project. I made these cards using my C30 JustRite stamper. This is the smaller version. It is great for note cards. The background paper on the larger card is a stamp by Obsession Impression and on the smaller is Basic Grey paper. I used my Nestabilities to make the scalloped circles and ovals. The scalloped square card was made with a large Nestabilities square and then I punched the holes with a small hole punch.

Stamping My Own Paper

This is a background paper I made using Gelatins stamps. I find the clear stamps work great to make background papers. The inks are Colorbox. I printed the words School Picnic on my computer and cut them out. The words Ring Around the Rosie were printed by computer onto the vellum.

Michaela's Beach Scene

Michaela and I had fun yesterday building scenes with our Kitties Kits Cause A Scene stamps by Rubberneckers. They are so simple to use.

This is another card using Rubberneckers Cause A Scene Stamps/ Kitties Kits. The Cottage stamp is from Rubber Cottage. I colored with Copic Markers. Inks are Distress.

Saturday Image Bonus 45 - Birds

So last week I asked if anyone had any requests. Robin requested I post some birds and bird nests. Here are some images that are in the bird catagory. They are all trade cards and ads. If anyone else has requests let me know. It is always more fun to have a theme when I am gathering images.

Glass Pebble Bracelets

So there has been a thread on SCS about Glass Pebble bracelets the last few days. Of course I had to try one. It was super easy to make. I happen to have all the supplies. I got the bracelet blank at Skybluepink a while ago. The glass pebbles are $2.99 for 2.75lb bag at Target (Vase Filler). I cut the paper with a small circle punch. I used Diamond Glaze to glue the paper to the pebble and Zap A Gap to glue it to the bracelet. They are super quick to make and would make a great craft fair item.

Make A Wish

This is my entry for Daring Card Makers this week. The theme is Journaling. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the background and the corners. The stamps are Studio G dollar stamps. I used my new Nestabilities for the frame.

Halloween Fairy

This is my entry for the Tag Your It fairy challenge. The image is one of mine and the stamps are dollar stamps. The wings are from Nancy Dooren.

ATC Case

Here are two cases I made for ATC's and such from envelopes. I thought they were perfect for the Created by Hand challenge this week Envelopes. I used Distress Inks and lots of stamps. You can find the directions at Inque Boutique. They are so fun and easy to make.

Theme Thurday - Hearts

Theme Thursday this week is Hearts. This is a card I made using my Wishblade. It is amazing how intricate the Wishblade can cut. I used a white Sakura gel pen to make the xo's. The pattern and layout was designed by Elsabeth Eder and Ortrun Schulenberg.

Another Kitties Kit Card

Here is another card I made using the Kitties Kit stamps This one is using stamps from the beach series. This was a lot of fun to put together. You can check out some of the designer's great ideas at Kittie Kraft.

Trying out my Kittie Kits

So at the stamp show last week my favorite booth was the Rubbernecker Stamp booth. I bought a whole bunch of Kitties Kits. They are great little stamps that you can use together to create a scene. This card is using the outdoor series.

Ten Second Studios in My Cuttlebug

So ever since I heard I could use my Ten Second Studios embossing molds in my Cuttlebug I have been so excited. The Big Momma ones go through the best. They are two sided and for some reason they don't show the reverse sides on their website. This is one I picked up at the Stamp Show in Hartford, CT this past weekend. I just ran it through the bug. My sandwich was (from the bottom up) A plate, Big Momma plate, metal sheet, rubber pad and B plate. It worked like a charm. You may need to adjust this per your machine and the thickness of the metal. I bought rolls of metal from Dick Blick . The rubber pad is from the Sizzix Embossing kit. I used a previously made ATC to make this card. The metal accents are from WeR Memory. The stamps are Memory Box and Oxford Impressions.

I will say the impression is quite good and a lot less work then using the tools to emboss.

Saturday Image Bonus 44

So I am up to 44 posts. I love all these old images. Please let me know if you are enjoying the images. I need encouragement every so often to get up on Saturday morning and search for images. Also if you are looking for any type of image let me know. I may just have a few I can post for another Saturday Image Bonus.

This week I pulled out some of my old cabinet card photos. Each photo has something special about it, their hair or the look in their eyes. A few are quite damage but I think you will be inspired by the images.

Purple Monochromatic Collage

OK so I picked the hardest color for me Purple. I don't have a lot of purple embellishments so this was a hard collage to make for the Mixed Media Monday challenge Monochromatic. The inks are Adirondack and the stamps are Stamper's Anonymous.

House Mouse - Get Well

I don't know if you can see how metallic this card is but I used my metallic paints from Yasutomo to color this card. They are wonderful and only cost 6 dollars and change. They come in a palette form.

I made the dots on the brads with my white Signo pen. The background is a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
