Oh Deer

Here is another cute child's birthday card I made with the Friendly Forest Set of clear stamps by Colorbok. I thought this little deer was perfect for the Oh Deer challenge at Crazy Amigos this week. I double tapped the deer image to make it look like it is moving. Click on the photo to see the image. The paper, buttons and ribbon are from Chloe's Closet by MM. I colored the center of the flower ribbon with a Copic marker.

Asian Hearts

For the Created by Hand Challenge this week the theme is hearts. I have been working on my Valentines for awhile. So this was an easy one. I used black gesso for the ground to stamp the hearts. The card opens in the center. The stamps are Paula Best. I hung a circular paper clip with an aquamarine bead on the tie on the side.

Arty Girls Challenge - Transparent

This is for the Arty Girlz challenge transparent. I stamped on acetate and then attached it to patterned paper with a brad. The stamp is OI.

TMTA Queen for a Day

The theme at TMTA is queen for a day. Here is ATC I made using one of my Saturday Image Bonus images. The stamps are Studio G.

Three Sympathies

Here are three sympathy cards I made today. I always hate to make this type of card. Unfortunately, we had two friends this week lose someone close to them. I guess as I get older more and more of our friends will be losing parents. The funerals were sad but also a celebration of life. The first card has stamps from Lost Coast and Invoke. The two other card use stamps from a new set I picked up at Michael's called Friendly Forest by Colorblok. The papers are Chloe's Closet by Making Memories and so are the buttons.

A Different Kind of Gypsy

The theme at Gothic Arch this week is Gypsy. The first thing I thought of was the famous burlesque dancer Gypsy Rose Lee from the 1930's. So here she is in all her glory. Things were a little less revealing back then.

Turquoise Theme

Here is a postcard for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge. The image is one of my Saturday Image Bonuses and the stamps are Fancy Pants.

Altered Tin

The theme at Saturday's Workout is Altered Tin. This is an altered candy tin. I used Alcohol Inks to color the surface.

A Painting to Brighten My Day

I had a bad day yesterday. I am still looking for a new job and thought I might be close to being hired for one, but it didn't work out. It is always hard on the ego not to be chosen. I remember in elementary school waiting to be chosen for teams. Lucky for me, I wasn't chosen last but a lot of it was a popularity contest. Here is a collage/painting I was inspired to make. Good art therapy huh? It has been awhile since I have painted a person. So go easy on me. I drew and painted her in just a few hours. I guess she is raising her hand " Pick Me". The paints are Golden's Fluid Acrylics and Golden's Glazes. The stamps are Fancy Pants and Studio G.

Nobody's Darling But Mine Valentine Card

Here is a card for Theme Thursday "Couples". The background was made with a Cuttlebug. The heart is a Heidi Swapp chipboard heart sanded at the edges. The image is not one of mine. I just wrote VW in the file name. So if this is yours let me know.

Martha Stewart Valentine Punches

Well, Martha has done it again. The Martha Stewart brand of punches has come out with some adorable paper punches for Valentines. Of course I had to pick up a few with a gift card I had from Michael's. I got two border punches and a scalloped heart punch. I will say this batch doesn't seem to have the same quality as the past. I had to play with each one (using tin foil to sharpen, wax paper and a little banging) to get it to work. The scalloped heart still sticks to the inside of the punch and I have to fish it out with a scissor. That said, here is a quick card I put together for the Created by Hand Challenge Love. The stamps are Rubber Cottage and Studio G. The tag is Clearly Vintage stamps. Click over to my other blog Clearly Vintage to see more.

TMTA Autos

I made a series of three auto ATC cards using the monocromatic method to make the background. I love the depth the tone on tone stamping creates. I used Adirondack inks and the images are from Saturday Image Bonus. These ATC cards are for the TMTA challenge Autos.

I used my Slice to cut the letters and the shape behide the letters. The scalloped top of each letter pendant was made using the scallop border punch from Martha Stewart. The buttons are a Martha Stewart punch.
