My daughter did a report on Clara Barton the founder of the American Red Cross last year and ever since I have been in awe of her. She was quite a woman in a time when woman had very few rights. This is a mixed media collage on canvas. I have used antique buttons and lace.

Homemade Birthday Banner

My daughter's birthday is Friday. She has told me I never decorate for her birthday. So for the last few days I have being making this banner for her. The papers are K & Co. I used my Slice to cut the letters and the shape behide the letters. The scalloped top of each letter pendant was made using the scallop border punch from Martha Stewart. The buttons are a Martha Stewart punch.

Star Ornament
Here is a star ornament I made using the Making Memories Slice. The directions are available on You Tube by Jennifer Mcguire. This was really simple to make with the Slice.

My New Slice

Well of course I had to jump on the bandwagon and buy a new Slice by Making Memories. I couldn't resist buying it at AC Moore. It is a great little portable die cutting machine. So far I say it is a great tool. My only issue is that some of the cuts are not as straight as I would like. I contacted MM and they said they are aware of the issues.
Here are a few cards I made using the Slice. All of the cut outs except the snowflakes were made with the Slice.
