I am so excited

Well, I got exciting news the other day and my new stamp line is ready to go. I have signed off the last proof sets. It will be three weeks to go through manufacturing. These stamps have been designed using many of the images I have collected. There is so much involved in transforming them into stamps and of course I wanted them perfect. The first three sets will be 6x8 photo polymer clear stamps. I decided that there was a real need for collage/artist type stamps in this medium. I have found a wonderful manufacturer in the United States who has been working very closely with me. Now I have to work on all the details. Where to sell them? How to sell them? Packaging? Naming them? I have previewed a few of the stamps on this blog over the last month. They are listed as Paper Flowers stamps in the label box. I will probably change the name at release time.

Saturday Image Bonus 52

For my 52 Saturday Image Bonus I have picked Victorian Trade Cards from France. They advertise Mme Meunier modes and lingerie. These are from France. The drawings are quiet beautiful and have lots of detail. I be posting more of these next Saturday so please check back.

The images today are Victorian Trade cards. These five cards are from the Niagara Starch company. Usually these cards were given away to customers by the grocer or sent for in the mail. These cards are from the 1880's. The brand Niagara Starch still exists today.

Love this Tag

So I got a new book Paper Bouquets by Susan Tierney Cockburn on making Paper Flowers. It was great inspiration. This is a tag I made for Tag Your It using my new Cuttlebug embossing folders and then a whole bunch of hand punches to make the Begonia flower. The trick to these flowers is The Ultimate Glue. This stuff is wonderful and gives your flowers dimension. I colored the edges of the flower with Copic markers. The paper is Prisma for the petals and DCWV for everything else. The image is one of my Saturday Image Bonuses. It can be found here.

Jewish New Year Card

So between friends, family and clients I make at least 60 Jewish New Year's cards each year. Here is my first one. I will probably make at least ten of this design. The photo is looking a little tilted as it is a 3d design. The red is mounted on pop dots. The letters on the red card stock are the Hebrew alphabet. The stamp is from Stampsmith. The apples are from Lockheart. I embossed the card base with my Cuttlebug embossing folder Textile. I thought it gave it a middle eastern feeling.

Birthday Dream

The challenge this week at Created by Hand is Dream. This Birthday card is my interpretation of the theme.

So I got this book to alter shaped like a house about a year ago from Sky Blue Pink and I have finally started it in honor of Dans Ma Maison. The theme this week is stars. The stamps are Memory Box, Stamper's Anonymous, Gelatins and Cloud9. I used some punchinella(sequin waste) to made the dots. I painted the page with three colors of Ranger Dabber paint. The stickers are 7 Gypsies and the paper is Daisy D.

Christmas Tag for Tag Your It

This is a tag for Tag Your It. A little early for Christmas. The image is from a Victorian Trade Card. The tree stamp is PSX. The words are Inkadinkadoo.

Birthday Card

The stamps are Obsession Impression and Kodomo stamps. I used Distress inks by Ranger to color.

Falling

OK, so like a dummy I fell down the steps in our house yesterday. I broke my fall with my hands so I just twisted my ankle really badly. Boy, does it hurt. I am not able to get around very well. I will try to get everything ready for tomorrow's 50th Saturday Image Bonus blog candy giveaway this evening. Hopefully with a little Advil I will be able to walk on it then. I wanted to gather the stuff and take some photos. There will be some great collage stuff.

Lots of new Stuff

I think I am addicted to gadgets. I just got new embossing folders and then today I picked up the cutest new Halloween border punches from Martha Stewart. The border punches are of slime and a picket fence. Of course I have to think of different ways to use them. This is a card I made using a new winter Cuttlebug embossing folder and I used the slime border to simulate melting snow.

I couldn't resist using my new argyle embossing folder with my cute flower girl stamp.

Playing with Alcohol Inks

Here are three different surfaces treated with Ranger Alcohol Inks. The first is a domino, second a clear glass pebble and the third is a white glass pebble. It is interesting to see them side by side. I love the faux marble look. The domino works great for the domino challenge at Saturday's Workout.

Card for Baby

We have a few friends who are having babies this year. Here is a card I did for one of them.

Bird Song

I made this for the song challenge at Dans Ma Maison. The stamps are Inkadinkadoo, Justrite Stamper, Plaid, Anna Griffin and Memory Box. I painted the background with 3 colors of Ranger paint dabbers. I picked up 9 of these at my local scrapbook store sale for a buck a piece. They dry quickly, so they were perfect for this project.

Saturday Image Bonus 49

OK. so I am getting close to fifty posts. You all have to check back next week for my exciting giveaway in honor of my 50th Saturday Image Bonus. There will be vintage magazines, lace, a stamp and whatever else I can find at the flea market this week. I will let you know all the details next week.

As promised here are more of the Jello images. The image are so much fun and many are quite funny. I was hesitant about a few of them. The advertising of this era would be considered a bit stereotypical in this day. I hope I do not offend anyone. What is sad, is how mainstream this thinking was, that it is part of a Jello ad. I left out part of one image that I thought was in poor taste.

Cuttlebug Combo Card

This is a card I made using four different embossing folders. The red is one of the new border embossing folders. For the green part of the card I used a new border embossing folder at the top and the bottom, then I embossed the middle. I was able to emboss only the middle by using a smaller acrylic plate for the top plate in the sandwich. This is the plate for the Sidekick. I believe you get two for $2.99 or less if there is a sale. Anyway these plates are great if you just want to emboss a small area. The cardstock is DCWV. I sanded the embossing to make the white core paper appear. I cut out the bottom of the green card following the design of the folder. The stamped image is from Outlines.
