Snowman Jar

I got this idea from this month's Cloth Paper Scissor's Magazine. I made this for Mixed Media Monday. For the head I used a Styrofoam ball. The eyes and face are black brads. The nose is copper foil. I covered the ball in white glue and them sprinkled Mica Snow Glitter from Martha Stewart on it. Inside the jar are some antique buttons and pearls. I used antique lace to accent the jar and some ribbon from AC Moore. The hat is a top from a Prima Flower jar and the hearts and balls are stick pins from Heidi Grace.

New Christmas Card

I found the star on this card at Michael's. The paper is from a stack by MME and the stamps are Walmart.

I made the dots on the brad with a white gel pen by Inkessentials.

New Moo

The theme at Make a Moo this week is to use something new. A new stamp or technique. This is a technique that Femmy explained on her site. I took it a step further and used it for my whole Moo. I used Versamark an covered my whole surface with it. I then sprinkle SU Vintage Verdigris embossing powder and heated it. I repeated this process five times. I then put Versamark on a stamp (Walmart Clear Stamp) and stamped the surface. It created this lovely debossed look. I then lightly inked the surface to bring out the design more. It is a wonderful effect. I may use this in a Christmas card.

Keep in Touch

This week at Wednesday Stamper the theme is Telephone. I got to use one of my favorite stamps and old telephone from The Moon Rose. I love to make collages of stamps for background papers. It was so much fun to gather all my stamps to make the theme of the card. The center stamp is one of my stamps from my stamp line Clearly Vintage. I just love these two girls holding hand and thought this would make a great Keep in Touch card. The other stamps are by Paper Impressions(Ink Bottle),Serendipity Stamps(ink spots,postcards) and Ann-ticipations(ink pen). I colored the images and background with Copic markers. The edge detail in a border punch by Martha Stewart.

New Tim Holtz Stickles

So of course I had to try the new Tim Holtz Stickles. It is more like glass glitter and gives your projects a unique look. My only disappointment was that there isn't as much of the glass glitter pieces as I would like in the glue. I made this card using three colors of Stickles; Fired Brick,Antique Linen and Peeled Paint. I stamped the image with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I then added the stickles. The stamps are Just for Fun and Studio G.

Christmas Stamps from Walmart

So everyone at Splitcoast Stampers has been talking about these clear stamps at Walmart. Of course I had to go check them out. Which is always a bad thing. I went and purchased three sets of the Christmas clear stamps but that wasn't all. I ended up buying 3 movies from the 5 dollar bin and three Nintentdo DS games that were on sale. Walmart and Target are like money pits. I ended up buying all the things I did not know I needed.

Anyway, I made this card using several of the sets of stamps. It worked wonderfully for the theme at Wednesday Stamper this week Angel. The stamps do stamp extremely well. I used Versafine ink. There is lots of glitter on this card but it did not show up on the scan.

Monogram Card

This is a card I made with my Just Rite stamper. At first I was going to make a card for my husband to use as Thank You cards, but of course it evolved into something for me. I just have the hardest time with cards for men.

New Memory Box Stamps

Here are two Christmas cards using my new Memory Box stamps. I just love their stamps. They are so simple but make great cards.

The stamps are Studio G. I also used my new Spellbinders Labels One.

Frankenstein

This is a quick card I put together for my daughter's teacher. It is a total copy of a few cards I saw on Splitcoast Stampers. It is very simple to make. You use punches for the eyes and nose. The stamp is a Studio G.

For A Friend

The theme at Wednesday Stamper this week is open and Created by Hand's theme is ribbon. Here is a card I made for both those themes. The paper is Cosmo Cricket Wanted. The stamps in the middle strip are Unity. I used Adirondack ink and Studio G glitter glue to decorate the center strip.

Lock and Key

The theme at Mixed Media Monday is Lock and Key this week. This card uses several stamps from Stamper's Anonymous. The key is an antique. The keyhole is from Skybluepink. I used Adirondack Inks by Ranger to stamp my images.

Here are several card planners I have made in the past for Christmas presents.

Wee Witch Arch

To celebrate Halloween the theme is Witches over at Gothic Arch this week. This is the arch I created. The background was created with a cuttlebug embossing folder. I used a black painted metal from ten seconds studio and lightly sanded it to reveal the embossing. The paper strip was made with a border punch by Fiskers punched on both sides of a strip of paper. All of the stamps are Studio G.

New Home

This is a quick card I made with my new Papertrey stamps. I colored them in with my Copic markers.

Another border punch card

For those of you who follow my blog you know I am the Queen of Border punches. I just love what you can do with these punches. This is another card I made using two Martha Stewart border punches. The background was done with the Cuttlebug. The bird stamp is from Memory Box and the Warm Winter Wishes is from a Studio G dollar set. I curved the letters by taking the acrylic stamp and curving it on my block. A technique I still need to work on as you can see. The scalloped background for the stamp is a Nestabilities and the leaves are a Martha Stewart punch.

5 Gum Box

Well my daughter got this great box of gum a few weeks ago called 5 by Wrigley's. I of course was intrigued by the box and thought it would be a great design for a party favor. So I took apart the box and traced it onto another sheet of paper. Here is my first attempt. The stamps are OI and Martha Stewart. I was very disappointed with the quality of the MS stamps. I actually had to cut a few of them apart and they don't ink as well as I hoped. That said,they are very cute. Luckily, I bought them on sale. The elephant punch is also a Martha Stewart.

Coffee Tea or Me

The challenge at Three Crazy Amigos this week is to use a quote in your artwork. This is a card I made as a sample for my new stamp line Clearly Vintage. The background was made from a stamp by a company called Unity.

Favorite Thing to Alter

The theme at Wednesday Stamper this week is favorite item to alter. This is a plastic laminate (AKA Formica) sample I altered into a wall hanging. I painted the laminate with black gesso and them stamped the background with Brilliance ink. The laminate took the gesso so nicely. It was such a smooth finish to stamp upon which was my favorite thing about it. The stamp is by OI.

Elephant Card

A quick card using a stamp by Outlines for the background and an SU stamp for the elephant. Sorry for the wacky scan.
