Zentangle ATC's

The theme at TMTA this week is Zentangle. What is Zentangle? Well it is basically doodling. You can find a definition here. This is my ATC attempting this technique. The stamps are Invoke. I colored this with Copic Markers. I love how vibrant they make the ATC. This also worked well for the theme at Daring Cardmakers butterflies.

Gothic Arch - We'll Always Have Paris

Here is my Gothic Arch this week. The stamps are Invoke and Memory Box. I colored the arch with Copic Markers. I have never been to Paris. Perhaps some day soon.

Moos - Women

Here are my Moos for Moo or Two this week. The theme is women. I used my glitter pens to color these but no matter if I scan or photograph the glitter does not show. The stamps are Oxford Impressions.

4x4 Family

The challenge at 4x4 this week is family. I used Distress Inks and Paints to achieve the background. The stamps are from Auntie Amy, Stamp Camp and Memory Box.

WS Arrow

This is for Wednesday Stamper this week. I had just bought this package of Paper Salon arrow stamps. So it worked out well. The image is one of mine. It is posted towards the beginning of the Saturday Image Bonuses.

I used the Donna Dewberry Texture Makers as stamps for the background and the brown accent is Radiant Rain. The sentiment is from Cloud 9. You can also see below the texture make used as an embossing plate.

Embossing with my Cuttlebug

This is a card I made tonight using my Cuttlebug. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder and the new Donna Dewberry Texture Maker plate Chantilly Lace. The Texture Makers are meant to use with polymer clay but worked great in my Cuttlebug. There were two in the package. I also used them as stamps in the card above. I found these at JoAnns along with some other great items in this line.

The stamp is Amuse and the papers are from the new Nana's Nursery stack.

Trapped in the Tower - TMTA Middle Ages Theme

This is my interpretation of the Middle Ages theme at TMTA. When I think of the Middle Ages I always think of princesses trapped in a tower by the evil lords. So here she is in The Tower. I used my Copic Markers to color. They are great for shading the face. The stamps are Lost Coast I believe.

Playing with my Copic Markers

So I have been playing the last few days with my Copic Markers. They are really wonderful. Copics are an alcohol based marker. When they are used with the right ink and paper they look like watercolors. What is really wonderful is there is very little streaking. I bought mine from a great online store called Period Style. They had great customer service and threw in a couple of freebies with my order. Of course I am already addicted to these markers and see lots of holes in my collection. I have very few reds and greens. I have alot more to learn about these markers and I also have to figure out how to incorporate them into my collage style.

Saturday Image Bonus 30

Wow, I can't believe I am up to 30 posts. It has been great finding and posting all of these images for you. Thank you to all who stop by each week. I also wanted to thank everyone who has listed me in their sidebar at their blog. I really appreciate all your kind words about the site. For those of you who may be thinking I may run out of images soon. Not a chance. I have thousands and of course my favorite flea market will be starting again soon. If there is type of image you are looking for let me know.

The images this week are all from various soap companies. I have included one of the backs because even then the claims of advertisers were amusing. Swirl Moos

The theme over at Moo or Two is Swirls and Flourishes. Here is my take on this great theme. I used one of my favorite stamps by Obsession Impression for the swirl background.

4x4 Oriental

The theme this week at 4x4 is Oriental. This is the 4x4 I came up with for this theme. I used adirondack ink pads to color in the image.

WS Tree - Truth in Quiet

Here is my entry for WS this week. The theme is Trees. These stamps are from Innovative Stamp Creations, Hero Arts ands Stamp Camp.

TMTA Spring

The theme at TMTA this week is spring. I found this stamp I bought awhile back from Outlines. I have not used it much. My style has changed so much over the last few years. It really it a cute stamp. Of course I used it to try the new copic markers I just bought. I also used Adirondack markers.

Asian Themed Arch

Here is my Arch for the Gothic Arch challenge this week. The theme is Asian. The scan is very faint so please click on the photo to view the larger image. Asian stamps are among my favorites and I have a large collection. I think I went a little overboard here. I just kept finding more and more images I wanted to use in this collage. The stamps are Invoke,Paula Best and a kit I picked up with Chops in it at Barnes and Noble. The inks are Adirondack.

4x4 Royalty

Here is my royal 4x4. I used my new threading water punch to make the border detail. The flowers are the black chipboard by Cosmo Cricket colored with Prismacolors. The image is one of my fairy paper dolls. Follow the label below to see all my paper dolls.

The images for this week are all woman. Each of these are Victorian Trade Cards from the 1880's. They are advertisements for corsets, hats and such. I especially love the one from Hill Brothers. These are my Moos for this week. The theme is text. The stamps are Oxford Impressions. The inks are distress inks. I lightly went over the top of each with a silver paint dabber by Ranger to add a little sheen.
