So my daughter had to make a leprechaun trap for a school project. I assigned this project to my husband, since I have no clue about this holiday. I do know you drink a lot but I don't think that would go over big in the 1st grade. My husband promised to help create the perfect trap. Of course yesterday, after two weeks my husband says you are the artsy one. You have to help her with this one.
So this is what happens when you take 2 people who like to do paper crafts but have no idea how to catch a leprechaun. The yellow square inside the box is fly paper.

Ohh, does this bring back memories. My ds #2 had to do this a few years ago. I remember the teacher saying those little green guys love glitter. woo hooo I have lots of that. We covered it with it..how cute is this.
I LOVE the fly paper! The "Hagerty" in my name belongs to my husband. I have no idea about the holiday either, and always associated it with green eggs and green beer (icky) LOL.
Oh! I'm Irish! And this looks like it would work. What did you use for bait? Gold Glitter?
How Cute! nice idea for trapping the leprechaun.
LOL, you built a good trap! Now if you should catch a leprechaun, don't forget to make him hand over his pot of gold - they can be very tricky about that!
Excellent leprechaun trap! I just included it (and linked to your post) in the MyPunchbowl party planning blog where I wrote about using free invitations for a St. Patty's sleepover for kids.
Thank you very much for your instruction. The photos and your explanation are perfect!! I will try them.
This turned out very well!
