A Painting to Brighten My Day

I had a bad day yesterday. I am still looking for a new job and thought I might be close to being hired for one, but it didn't work out. It is always hard on the ego not to be chosen. I remember in elementary school waiting to be chosen for teams. Lucky for me, I wasn't chosen last but a lot of it was a popularity contest. Here is a collage/painting I was inspired to make. Good art therapy huh? It has been awhile since I have painted a person. So go easy on me. I drew and painted her in just a few hours. I guess she is raising her hand " Pick Me". The paints are Golden's Fluid Acrylics and Golden's Glazes. The stamps are Fancy Pants and Studio G.

I think you did a great job painting a person! My prayers are with you as you search for a job. I know what an emotional and hard time that can be, and many people are finding themselves in that position these days.

God bless!

Nice work--I can't paint at all, and I admire you for your talent--and I know what you mean about thinking you're good for a job and that they are going to be smart and pick you, and then you get the disappointing news--I have been there many times. Keep your chin up, Cora!
