Listen Closely

Here is a very profound card I made using Distress inks. The stamps are by several companies in my stash.

A Stamp in Hand Card

This is a card I made using a few stamps from A Stamp in Hand and OI. The cardstock is glossy except for the red accent strip which is matte. I used Marvy Markers directly on the rubber stamp to ink.

Here are two cards that use the same Cuttlebug embossing folder and Martha Stewart branch punch. I just added some Stickles to the branches to look like snow.

Some Cards for Hanukkah

Well Happy Hanukkah to those of you that celebrate it. We had a party on Saturday night. There were tons of latkes. I premade them in the morning because I hate to fry with a house full of people. Boy were they good. Here are a few Hanukkah cards I made this week. I will just have to get them out the door before the end of the holiday. I also made some cookies to give out at work.

Letterpress Update.

So I called Quickutz and they have agreed to send me replacement plate for the ones I used in the Letterpress. Hopefully these will not crack. They told me to try the others sets I purchased and if they crack they will replace them. I have lots of testing to do. Anyway Kudos to Quickutz for standing behind their product.

Letterpress, try try again

So I took a chance and opened another set of plates. This is the holiday one with a beautiful tree. Yes it is cracking too. With some adjustments the actual printing is amazing. It seems like the cracks are mostly from the areas where the plates were attached during the manufacturing process. Now I am torn. Do I take all this back today and fight with the store because I had to use and open several different packages to figure out that the plates crack, including paper, wipes and plates or do I wait and call Quickutz on Monday to replace the plates. I bought 6 sets of the plates at AC Moore with my holiday money. So I have a lot to return. I am glad I did not wait until the holiday to test it. Here is my first very simple card. I wish you could see the debossed surface in the scan. The best thing is no ink or debossing shows through to the other side. It looks very close to a professional print. Well, I have to say I have been inspired. I spent all day yesterday looking at real Letter presses for sale online. They are huge and quite expensive but a girl can dream.

Letterpress Fun?

I bought the Lifestyles Letterpress yesterday and I am so disappointed. The printing plates are cracking after one use. I am using it in an Epic 6. The plates and Letterpress came in a set. I'm really not sure what to do. I don't know if it is just the set that came with the machine that is faulty or they all are faulty. I bought a few more extra designs but I am afraid to use them as then I will not be able to return them. You can easily clean everything up with a little bit of vegetable oil on a paper towel. Then wash off.

2 More Holiday Cards

So I got a few more cards done this weekend. The stamps are by Hero Arts and Penny Black. I added lots of Stickles to make them shine.
