This is a postcard I made for the Sunday Postcard Art theme Africa. There is nothing like waking up in the morning and doing an art challenge. This one was a little more difficult. There is lots of contrast to this card. So hopefully all the detail came out in the scan.

Saturday's Workout - Altered Book Cover

The theme at Saturday's Workout is altered book cover. Here is a cover of one of my books. I used tissue paper with Golden's gel paste to make the textured surface. The heart is paper clay molded onto a Paula Best stamp.

Dreaming is Free Bookmark

The theme at Art Adventure this week in to make a book mark. Here is one I made recently. I made this for my 8 year old daughter. The stamps are Clearly Vintage and the markers are Copic. What I love about reading is how you create your own reality. Two people can read a book and see it totally differently. Books are fuel for the imagination.
