Playing with my Martha Stewart Border Punches

This is a card I made using the new MS border punches and the Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dot. I made the diamond strip by running the paper through the Martha Stewart border punch 2x. The stamps are Inkadinkadoo.

The ink is Memento and I colored the dress with my Copics.

Two Cards

Here are two cards I made yesterday for occasions this week. The first one is for our wedding anniversary - 14 years! I used stamps from Gelatins. The second is a birthday card for a girl in my daughter's class using Penny Black and Cloud 9 stamps. I colored the image with my Copic markers. The background is an embossing folder by Cuttlebug. I lightly sanded it to reveal some of the white card. I am also working on a wall decoration for the birthday girl using the main stamp image. I will post it later.

Window to My Garden

It is a little dreary today, so here is my garden window. This window is actually cut out and so it has dimension. I put transparency in the cut outs, so it looks like glass.

Garden Fairy Arch

The theme at Gothic Arch this week is Garden Fairy. Here is my garden fairy. The inks are Adirondack. The stamps are Oxford Impressions and Lost Coast.

Girl Moo

Here is my Girl Moo. I colored her with my Copic markers and a Sakura glitter pen. I am just loving the saturated colors of the Copic markers.

Saturday Image Bonus 33

Here are today's images. I believe most of these old photos are boys. I am not sure about the last one. I was the tradition to dress the young boys like girls in photos. Last week someone commented that no one was smiling in the cabinet cards. I inquired with a photographer why that would be and he said that photos took so long back then. People were asked not to smile in most cases because of the length of time( several minutes). I guess it would look wrong by the time the shot was over. I imagine as in the case with a boy child a bit uncomfortable too.

As always feel free to use any image for your personal use only. Do not post the orginal images anywhere else on the net, but feel free to link anyone here. I ask that if you use one that you link it back to this message so we can all enjoy your art.

TMTA - Mermaid

This is the only Mermaid image in my home. It is actually one of my daughter's stamps but it works for this week theme at TMTA. Most of the background stamps are Amuse. I'm not sure what company the mermaid stamp is as my 7 yr old daughter doesn't mark her unmounted stamps like me. I colored this with my Copic Markers.

Gothic Arch - Doll School

I just love this photo I found on Art e Zine. This is my arch for the Doll and Me challenge at Gothic Arch.

Zentangle ATC's

The theme at TMTA this week is Zentangle. What is Zentangle? Well it is basically doodling. You can find a definition here. This is my ATC attempting this technique. The stamps are Invoke. I colored this with Copic Markers. I love how vibrant they make the ATC. This also worked well for the theme at Daring Cardmakers butterflies.

WS Arrow

This is for Wednesday Stamper this week. I had just bought this package of Paper Salon arrow stamps. So it worked out well. The image is one of mine. It is posted towards the beginning of the Saturday Image Bonuses.

I used the Donna Dewberry Texture Makers as stamps for the background and the brown accent is Radiant Rain. The sentiment is from Cloud 9. You can also see below the texture make used as an embossing plate.

Embossing with my Cuttlebug

This is a card I made tonight using my Cuttlebug. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder and the new Donna Dewberry Texture Maker plate Chantilly Lace. The Texture Makers are meant to use with polymer clay but worked great in my Cuttlebug. There were two in the package. I also used them as stamps in the card above. I found these at JoAnns along with some other great items in this line.

The stamp is Amuse and the papers are from the new Nana's Nursery stack.

Trapped in the Tower - TMTA Middle Ages Theme

This is my interpretation of the Middle Ages theme at TMTA. When I think of the Middle Ages I always think of princesses trapped in a tower by the evil lords. So here she is in The Tower. I used my Copic Markers to color. They are great for shading the face. The stamps are Lost Coast I believe.

Playing with my Copic Markers

So I have been playing the last few days with my Copic Markers. They are really wonderful. Copics are an alcohol based marker. When they are used with the right ink and paper they look like watercolors. What is really wonderful is there is very little streaking. I bought mine from a great online store called Period Style. They had great customer service and threw in a couple of freebies with my order. Of course I am already addicted to these markers and see lots of holes in my collection. I have very few reds and greens. I have alot more to learn about these markers and I also have to figure out how to incorporate them into my collage style.

Saturday Image Bonus 30

Wow, I can't believe I am up to 30 posts. It has been great finding and posting all of these images for you. Thank you to all who stop by each week. I also wanted to thank everyone who has listed me in their sidebar at their blog. I really appreciate all your kind words about the site. For those of you who may be thinking I may run out of images soon. Not a chance. I have thousands and of course my favorite flea market will be starting again soon. If there is type of image you are looking for let me know.

The images this week are all from various soap companies. I have included one of the backs because even then the claims of advertisers were amusing. As always feel free to use any image for your personal use only. I ask that if you use one that you link it back to this message so we can all enjoy your art.

In honor of this 30th post I hope all of you try to make something out of these images.
